A small, craft-first gardening practice serving the Brandywine Valley and Philadelphia's western suburbs. We design, install, and care for gardens that grow more beautiful — and more ecologically alive — with every passing season.
Get in touchJardinier Horticulture is the working name of Natural Systems LLC — a gardening practice founded in 2023 by Brandon Jones and now run alongside Head Gardener Elizabeth Ciskanik. We're both graduates of the Longwood Gardens Professional Horticulture Program, and we've each spent time working at Chanticleer Garden in Wayne — two of the most respected horticultural institutions in the country.
We take on a small number of properties each season so that every garden gets the attention it actually deserves. Our work is hands-on, careful, and built on long relationships with the people whose gardens we tend.

We offer a flat-rate seasonal service designed around your garden's actual needs — not a rigid package. Most clients work with us on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly cadence from March through November, with a thoughtful winter check-in in the off-season.
Weeding, edging, pruning, mulching, and seasonal cleanups performed with care. The kind of upkeep that makes a garden look effortless — because someone is paying close attention.
On-site design rooted in the conditions you actually have — sun, soil, slope, deer pressure. We source unusual plants through long-standing nursery relationships and install with an eye toward how the garden will mature.
Access to specialty growers across the Mid-Atlantic and Pacific Northwest. Whether you're after a hard-to-find native, a structural specimen tree, or a curated palette for a new bed, we'll find the right plant from the right grower.
Bringing tired beds back to life. Removing invasives, replacing struggling plantings with regionally appropriate alternatives, and re-establishing the structure of a garden that has drifted over the years.
A small sampling of recent work across the Brandywine Valley — borders and plantings, paths and patios, and the steady seasonal upkeep that keeps a garden looking its best.

We lean heavily on plants native to the Mid-Atlantic — for pollinators, for resilience, and because they belong here. Selective non-natives stay in the palette where they earn their place.
We don't reach for synthetic herbicides or insecticides. Healthy soil, the right plant in the right place, and patient observation do most of the work.
We keep our client roster small on purpose. Every property gets the same level of attention — there are no B-list gardens.
Gardens get better over years, not weeks. We work best with clients who want a steady, knowledgeable hand on their landscape for the long haul.
